Music smart
People who enjoy creating music may be "music smart." People with this intelligence have a good sense of rhythm and pitch. They understand the relationship between music and emotion. People with careers related to music likely have this intelligence.
Nature smart
Children who love spend time outside in nature may be "nature smart." These children are good at recognizing and classifying different elements if nature, such as plants or bugs. As adults, people who are "nature smart" make good farmers, veterinarians and gardeners.
People smart
Those who are "people smart" make friends easily and maintain those friendship well. They are able to understand the motivations, moods and feelings of others. they work well in groups and tend to be natural larders. As adults, they make good salespeople, social worker and managers.
Self smart
those who are "self smart" are in tune with their own emotions. They are slef-confident and have strong opinions on a variety of issues. They often like work by themselves. Interestingly enough, these people may become counselors, entrepreneurs or motivational speakers.
Gardner's theory has changed the way people think about intelligence. People can be smart in ways beyon just "book smart." Teachers can encourage their students to grow in areas they are naturally good at.
Perhaps all those parents are right-everybody is smart, just in different way.
